I went with a group of friends who wanted to do a bit of paranormal investigation. We plan on going back to the site soon. When we went, the site was quiet even with the wind blowing. It was weird, the wind felt a little off. Like it wasn't a regular wind. After an hour, one of my friends did feel extreme sadness. They just started crying saying how they all of a sudden felt sad and grief stricken. My experience was the scariest. As we are all walking around trying to get video and pictures, we all meet back up to one of the benches. None of us were moving now. Then all of a sudden I hear footsteps behind me, clear as day. I screamed and jumped. There was no one behind me.

My grandmother grew up near the massacre site. She would often travel to visit other ranches in the area and would often pass through locations where the massacre occurred. She related how as a girl she would see different colored balls of light darting between the sagebrush and juniper trees, as well as the sound of women weeping. Grandmother wasn't prone to flights of fancy, so I give the story a lot of credence.
I've been to the area multiple times and can say that I've not seen any paranormal activity. There is a feeling of sadness there, but much of that could be attributed to my knowledge of the events that occurred there.
